Ongoing :: Changes We Are Working On

We are currently looking into further changes to sites in the network. These may or may not actually happen, but include :

• Rating/Voting on websites by visitors
• The ability for advertisers to choose to sponsor a particular category rather than random pages over each site. This will probably be in the form of targeting banner ads at a specific category, rather than "sponsored listings", but we are discussing the best way to implement this.

13/07/2005 :: New Sites for Lincolnshire and Hertfordshire

The directories for Lincolnshire and Hertfordshire are now live.

As normal, there are 10 free banner ad spaces for the first 10 people to request them...

The directories for Derbyshire and Middlesex are now live.

12/07/2005 :: Featured Sites

We now offer 2 ways of adding sites to each directory - as before, there is still a free option, which works in exactly the same way it always has.

We now also offer the ability to submit your website as a Featured Site. These will appear at the top of each category listing, and will always appear first and above normal free listings.

The cost of a Featured Site listing is a simple £2.99 one-off payment. No subscription is necessary, just that one payment and your website will be listed as a Featured forever.

To submit a site as Featured, simply follow the usual process, but choose Featured Link, instead of Regular Link

12/07/2005 :: New Directory Functionality

As promised, each directory now includes 2 new pages - "Latest Entries" and "Most Popular". The links for these pages can be found just under the grey title bar in each directory.

As their names suggest, they provide details on the latest websites to be added to that directory and also the most popular websites in that directory (measured by the number of clicks each entry has received)

27/06/2005 :: New Leicestershire Site

The directory for Leicestershire is now live. It will probably be the end of this week before sites start appearing in the categories

21/06/2005 :: New Sites for Nottinghamshire and Essex

Nottinghamshire and Essex are now live. We are in the process of seeding the Nottingham directory with some links to get it started.

We hope to start work seeding Essex in the next couple of days. Remember, during the initial stages of each site coming up, we offer 1 years' free banner ad space to the first 10 people that request it.

13/06/2005 :: Site Redesign

The directory sites have been redesigned to make them easier to navigate and more intuitive to find what you are looking for.

Surrey and Kent have been changed already and you should see the changes on London within the next week. As new sites are brought live over the coming weeks, they will also incorporate the new design.

We are also always looking at ongoing and better categorisation within the directory structure.

*Update 20/06/2005* - London has now been changed also, bringing it in line with the rest of the network.

13/06/2005 :: New Sites Coming Soon

Over the next month or so, we are hoping to add the following counties to the network :

• Essex
• Hertfordshire
• Nottinghamshire
• Leicestershire
• Derbyshire

*Update 20/06/2005* - We expect to have 1 site up and running by the end of this week - there has not yet been a decision on which of these 5 it will be, so please let us know if you have any particular feelings for one region!
